Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar: Indulge in Creamy Ice Cream Delights in Ellsworth

We wanted the Maine Blueberry ice cream and boy did they deliver ! My friend got two scoops on a sugar cone and it was as big as her head, I got one scoop and it was more like three. It explained the price but it was worth every penny as that was THE best ice cream I’ve ever had … creamy and blueberry delish!! Also cute area out back to hang out and eat it !!

Stopped there a few times while visiting Bar Harbor. Ice cream always delicious. This place really gives you a generous amount of ice cream! My vwife and I tried several different flavors and styles and all were delicious! It's nice to have a place that really gives you your money's worth! Will definitely stop again when passing through.

Order the small, haha. We made the mistake of ordering a medium, which is basically an extra large everywhere else. Sooo much ice-cream, but it's soooo good. We go here once a week with my kid, and it's always a great treat. Great prices, and holy do you get a ton of ice cream for the price.

Stop #3 on my wife and I's Maine Ice Cream Trek. Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar is a quick service vibe type of place which is great. We had zero wait when we popped in but I can see it getting busy quick. I LOVE soft serve and they had additional flavors than the typical chocolate and vanilla so I had to try. I believe the flavor I got was coffee (if you're following our ice cream trek, you're probably over me saying that I got coffee lolol) and my wife got strawberry. Listen, we like what we like! Service was fast and efficient. and most importantly, the ice cream was smooooooooth and delicious! I would definitely be back if we're ever in the area again!

This is a walk up ice cream shop. You can get both soft serve and hand dip ice cream. I had the butter, pecan and caramel sea salt truffle. Both were excellent. We also tried the. Black raspberry, and blueberry ice cream. which were also really good. The hand dipped ice cream has a nice creamy texture and is not grainy. The teenagers working in the area were cutting up and ended up throwing a pen out the window at me by mistake and we were very apologetic but otherwise service was pretty quick even with quite a crowd building up.

We went here once but didn't realize it was cash only, so we came back the next day. Kinda stinks, I know there are some drawbacks to credit for small businesses but in this day and age it seems difficult to justify not accepting card. With that being said, this was my favorite of the ice cream places we visited. I got the smores flavor (one of my favorites in general, and it was great! They kind of forgot my wife's chocolate lover's but did get it out when notified. They seemed short staffed. The ice cream itself was creamy and soft. The portion sizes are great and the prices were not too bad given the quality of the ice cream and the sizes.
